Washington DC - President Trump today has designated 27 major cities across the United States as third world countries because of the deplorable conditions that they are in. The cities all have very high rates of crime and homelessness, as well as crumbling infrastructures and mounting debt. Included in the list are major cities such as San Francisco, Detroit, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. The ruling allows Trump to use the power of the Federal Government to take over control of the cities in order to "clean them up."
Democrats on Capital Hill decried the move saying that this was an overreach of Federal authority, but did not mention that all of the cities were controlled by Democrats. When asked about the obvious omission, Pelosi said "It really has nothing to do with who controls these cities. It has everything to do with Federal authority. Our government needs to be reigned in or this type of Federal control will only grow. The President has no legal means to do this. Something of this magnitude should only be done through the House."
