Des Moines, IA - A Scottish man has been arrest on charges of lewdness after he was seen and heard by multiple bystanders running around a shopping mall yelling what many thought was crude and suggestive language. Reports indicate that the man was yelling “Where is my Athol, has anyone seen my Athol” in a heavy Scottish accent. Bystanders were shocked when they heard the man’s yelling.

The man approached several of the bystanders and looked “frazzled” many reported. Most of the people near him said that they were covering the ears of their children and trying to avoid the area.

When we contacted the Des Moines police department they said that they had arrested the man after multiple phone calls were received complaining about his vulgar language and suggestions. He was held for a few hours while police tried to understand what had happened and what he was saying. Apparently communications broke down multiple times during the interrogation as officers were unable to get a clear picture of what had taken place.

The man was released later that night when a child entered the police precinct and said that he had lost his father. The child also had a heavy accent, but he finally wrote his name and police understood the entire dilemma that had taken place.
