Washington, DC - Social Democrats held a rally yesterday in Washington that drew thousands of protestors demanding a better, fairer society, one that was similar to the television series Star Trek. One protestor said that we should invest all of our resources into making a replicator so that all of the world's problems could be solved with this one simple machine.

"When you watch Star Trek you see a perfect society, one that is not dependent on money in any way. It is fair to everyone. And the replicator makes all of this possible. It gives you free food, drink, and the necessities of life, without relying on the government taking it from others to give to us. If we could build replicators, almost all of our problems could be solved.”

The rally came to a very quick end when some Star Trek nerds pointed out that The Federation had a Prime Directive that does not allow it to interfere in the lives of other civilizations. "You mean we can't try to control other people's lives? Even if they're living them wrong? What good is that?" The rally ended after just 45 minutes, but it took workers two days to clean up the garbage that was left behind.
